I love the fact that I am able to clean safely with my toddler around. She loves to help. She is always with me, helping me do everything. From laundry, sweeping, mopping and her favorite; wiping the table. With these reusable homemade cleaning wipes made with essential oils, I don’t have to worry about her coming in contact with harsh chemicals.
So instead of using store-bought wipes that are full of toxins, I now use these reusable, more natural cleaning wipes. These DIY reusable cleaning wipes are made with all completely safe ingredients such as water, vinegar, and essential oils.
I keep two containers of wipes in my home. One in the kitchen for counters and tables and the other in the bathroom for all of those germs.
What you need:
½ cup distilled white vinegar
¾ cup distilled water
12 drops Thieves Essential Oil
6 drops Lemon Essential Oil
Thieves oil is an excellent cleaner and degreaser that helps freshen and eliminates odors. It is a blend Oil that consists of clove, Lemon, cinnamon bark, rosemary and eucalyptus radiata oil. This blend is an amazing blend of highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-infectious Essential oils.
Testing shows Thieves oil to have a 99.96% success rate against airborne bacteria, which makes it a perfect blend for these homemade cleaning wipes.
The added lemon in this DIY smells great and aids with the cleaning power of these wipes.
Did you know diffusing Thieves Essential Oil can support a healthy immune system and energize your body?!
To make the solution for the wipes, add vinegar, water, and essential oils in the bottom of the container. Swirl in the bottom of the container to mix well. Then add your wipes. ( I like the kitchen dish clothes with the poly scour side for cleaning dried or hard to remove messes) Turn your container upside down and all around to completely coat the wipes. That’s it. Easy Peasy!
To use, simply remove a wipe and wring out any excess liquid back into the container. Clean surface with the wipe then rinse with hot water and return to container. With surfaces that have more germs ( raw meat, bathroom etc) do not return to the container, just toss those in the washing machine. I clean my wipes at least once a week.
I have been using these homemade wipes in my home for about six months now and love them.
